- General
- The Community Resource Network (CRN) provides a platform for non-profit organizations, governmental agencies, businesses, and individuals to connect in order to share resources that promote the physical, educational, mental development or to provide for the basic needs of Mid-Willamette Valley children, youth, families, and adults.
- Members are permitted to use CRN to share extra resources and fulfill requests for resources for the benefit of children, youth, families, and adults to seek help with unmet needs, or to share service-oriented events that will benefit children, youth, families, or adults.
- Membership
- Members must represent and be affiliated with one of the following entities:
- A public body in the State of Oregon ORS 174.109 defines “public body” as state government bodies, local government bodies, and special government bodies. “Special government bodies” include school districts, education service districts, community college districts, intergovernmental bodies, and entities created by statute or ordinance;
- A private non-profit corporation registered in the State of Oregon that serves or benefits children, youth, families, and adults in Mid-Willamette Valley;
- A private for-profit entity that is registered to do business in the State of Oregon and serves children, youth, families, and adults in Mid-Willamette Valley;
- A registered charitable foundation that provides funding for services in Oregon; and
- A private individual who has been sponsored by an approved CRN member and has been vetted by United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley Community Services.
- Community Members who are not affiliated with one of the above entities may join as a Giving Partner Member. Giving Partners may see and fulfill requests but may not post requests that seek goods or assistance.
- Private for-profit or non-profit corporations or entities that do not serve children, youth, families, or adults may join as Giving Partner Members. They may see and fulfill requests but may not post requests seeking goods or assistance.
- Members are strongly encouraged to attend CRN membership meetings that shall be held locally or virtually. The CRN Administration shall facilitate these meetings, which will be held at least annually or as determined necessary by CRN Administration.
- Each Member Organization, Agency, Business, etc. shall designate representative to be present at membership meetings:
- Primary Representative: attend the local membership meetings and provide advice, information and input on various CRN membership meetings and have the authority to represent the organization regarding CRN
- Secondary Representative: serves in the absence of the primary representative
- Members must not discriminate on account of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, marital status, or age in violation of Oregon or federal law.
- Membership is subject to approval by the United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley who has complete discretion to deny or terminate membership at any time.
- Protocols
- CRN is supported by United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley Community Services. Materials on the CRN website, including text and images, are the property of United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley, unless otherwise credited. No part of this website may be distributed or copied for any commercial purpose or financial gain. United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley reserves the right, and has complete discretion, to discontinue the operation of Community Resource Network at any time.
- CRN Administration does not develop, produce, or endorse information submitted or provided on the CRN site. United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley, the associated CRN members, and its employees assume no liability and make no promises, representations, guarantees, or warranties as to the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any information supplied to or by the website. United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley and the associated volunteers, and its employees assume no responsibility for the success, effectiveness, or outcome of any request.
- United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley, CRN associated members and its employees assume no liability and make no promises, representations, guarantees, or warranties as to the value, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose of any products or serves described, referenced, or offered herein.
- Member agrees to defend, save, indemnify, and hold harmless United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley and its CRN advisory team and its employees, and the associated volunteers from and against all claims, suits, actions, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses of any nature, including attorney fees, resulting from, arising out of, or relating to the members, or its officers, employees, subcontractors, or agents participating in CRN.
- Before submitting a request on CRN, members must first check the 211 system to see if the needed service or resource is available in the local area. If needs cannot be met via the 211 system or through other local providers, then CRN may be considered for appropriate requests.
- CRN cannot guarantee that all requests will be fulfilled; however, requests that are not fulfilled within a reasonable amount of time may be reviewed by CRN Admin and referred to other organizations who may be able to help.
- All requests and posts must be intended and used to benefit children, youth, and adults in Mid-Willamette Valley, Oregon. CRN requests for health-related referrals are not permitted, including but not limited to securing services or seeking funds for any health-related services. Requests for durable medical equipment, and assistance with securing goods related to vision, hearing, or dental needs will be considered.
- Requests may not be used or intended to meet the general operational needs of an organization, or to supplement that organization's operating budget.
- CRN requests may not be used as a promotional tool for a member or to advertise, promote, or market a member’s customary programs or events.
- CRN requests and posts may not include or disclose individual identifying information, confidential information, or information that is otherwise protected by law.
- CRN may not be used for any illegal activity, pecuniary gain, or commercial purpose.
- CRN may not be used to discriminate in violation of Oregon or federal law.
- The United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley may edit the content of any request to improve clarity and optimize opportunity for fulfillment.
- The United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley has complete discretion to decline any request or to remove any request from CRN at any time.

- Community Resource Network was created in partnership with United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley and Galaxux. United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley administers the program and partners with Galaxux for program maintenance and future development. Galaxux has authorized this product to United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley for its use.

- Agreement
By requesting membership to the CRN, you agree to the terms of use, exclusions, and limitations of liability stated above; affirm that you are authorized to agree to these terms on behalf of your organization; and accept them as reasonable.
